Banner setup
« on: August 14, 2013, 06:32:34 AM »
Hello, i am not that good With code and stuff so i Wonder if there would be possible to show me how and where to put in the code to make the banner boxes.
I would like to run plugrush or similar ads on all pages but have no Clue how to set this up, i did not understand the instruction in the docs due to my little knowledge about coding!

Thanks in advance.

All you need to do is insert the code that you get from your banner sponsor into the template where you want the banner to show. For example if you wanted a banner at the top of all your pages you would put the code in the global-header.tpl file.  You would just need to find the best place in the file to insert it.

For example:

To place a banner there you would put your banner code in the global-header.tpl all the way at the bottom ( look for the <!-- BANNER CODE BELOW HERE! --> comment):

How can i add link to the paysite under each video that is shown?

If i have videos from Gaytronix and want their banner to show when some one watch their videos, i tried out what it said in the instructions but it never did show any difference when i preview.

Where must i add the code and how do i make every videos from each sponsor show up when it is view'd?

Help..

You will need to do the following:

  • Setup the sponsor: Sponsors --> Add new sponsor
  • Add/import the videos making sure to assign the sponsor to those videos either in the import file or when adding a single video in the dropdown list.
  • Add a banner from the sponsor: Settings --> Banners --> Add new banner - Make sure to select your sponsor from the dropdown list.
  • In your video player templates add: {banner sponsor="XXX"} to your template.  Change XXX to the name exactly as shown in the control panel for that sponsor or it's ID number. More about the {banner} tag can be found here: http://docs.unofficialjmbsupport.com/tubex/1.0.x/templates-site-functions.html
